Colorado, Westen Westminster continued

In addition to the Butterfly Pavilion and the theater complex, the Westminster is also located within walking distance of a very large ice skating facility. This was the first time my children had ever seen ice hockey and they loved it.

The rooms at the Westminster are lovely and there is something very peaceful about this hotel. Our children particularly liked the indoor pool where we paid them a dime a lap and they did so many laps and earned so much money they were able to use that money for their souvenir purchases for the rest of the trip. Another nice feature of the hotel is the free Internet computer that is available 24 hours a day to guests. The computer is located in the bar/restaurant so you can order a soda and catch up on your email free of charge. This sure beats the expensive Internet fees some hotels charge.

When it comes to eating at the hotel they have two restaurants. The Augusta serves breakfast only and it has earned the AAA Four Diamond Award. When this restaurant closes the Palms opens for lunch and dinner. The featured items are steak and seafood. The Westin also has a coffee kiosk that serves fresh Starbuck’s coffee. And of course on the really hectic travel days there is there wonderful 24 hour room service.

After all that eating you might be thinking about scheduling a workout. To help you shape up Westin has a fitness center that has been updated with state of the art fitness equipment.

Although the Westin Westminster is luxurious, it is also very affordable. If you are on a family trip to Denver we think you’ll be very pleased with this hotel. That’s why FamilyTravel.com has named the Westin Westminster a Great Family Resort in Colorado.
