Colorado, Water World continued Our son particularly liked the giant wave pool. This pool is pretty funny for the bystanders too, because when the big wave comes crashing through, it’s as if someone turned the picture upside down. Instead of looking at heads bobbing in the water, you’re suddenly looking at bottoms and kicking legs. I really appreciated the availability of shaded areas throughout the park. We were always able to find shady places to sit when we felt ready to give the sun and water a rest. Other features I would like to mention that I think are great for families are rental lockers. This is really handy if you have too much to carry as you follow your kids from one ride to the next. For those of you who have a little one in diapers, they sell swim diapers at the gift shop for 50 cents. This type of diaper is required for children aged 3 and under. One last tip, before you go you might want to check out their website to see the information about discount tickets. Some well known national merchants are offering discount passes that will reduce your entrance fee. Many Water World parks do not allow visitors to bring in their own food or beverages. At the Denver park however, the parking is free and you can roll in a cooler full of food and drinks. This sure saves a lot of money and keeps the junk food down to a minimum. On a scale of one to ten, we give the Water World in Denver Colorado a ten! We think it’s one of the top family attractions in Colorado.
