Papillon Grand Canyon Helicopters
A FamilyTravel.com Favorite

Pam Plesons

A Helicopter Tour is an amazing way to experience the beauty and grandeur of the Grand Canyon. Our family was thrilled by the flight. As we approached the helicopter to board, the kid's excitement was clearly visible in their wide-eyed wonder. During our gentle take off, spectacular flight, and precise touchdown the value of the trip was clear in their jubilant cries of excitement and incredible observations.

Papillon Grand Canyon Helicopter Tours was founded in 1965. It is now one of the world's largest and most experienced Helicopter Sightseeing Companies. It has 38 state of the art helicopters with the sightseeing industry's largest picture viewing windows. In addition, the helicopters are equipped with stereo headphones that provide each passenger with dramatic music and educational narratives.

Just minutes from the South Rim Entrance to the Grand Canyon, the Papillon Heliport is conveniently located off Rte. 64 at the Grand Canyon Airport. The facility has an interpretive center, gift shop, cappuccinos, and patio area. We found some great affordable Grand Canyon t-shirts in their gift shop.

Papillon offers a wide variety of tours starting at approximately $95.00 for children and $115.00 for adults. We thought the price was well worth the once in a lifetime experience.
