The Junior Ranger Program A FamilyTravel.com Favorite Pam Plesons This is a great opportunity for your children to learn facts about the Grand Canyon. Visit the Canyon View Information Plaza and pick up your child's Junior Ranger Activity Book. The kids complete the age appropriate activities in the book and attend at least one Ranger Program to receive a Junior Ranger Badge and a Certificate. The program is appropriate for children age 4-14 years. Our kids really enjoyed the activities. They worked diligently on them in our down time back in the room, which provided Mom and Dad some time to relax. They learned lots of fun facts about animals, geography and our environment. I think Mom and Dad even learned a few things. The informal Junior Ranger "swearing in" ceremony was adorable. Our kids stood proud as they received their Badges. I highly recommend this program for families visiting the park. We also found this program offered at Bryce Canyon Park and Zion national Park. |
