The Best Western Grand Canyon Squire Inn is the Grand Canyon's only resort hotel. It features two restaurants, a sports bar, lounge, barber shop and beauty salon, fitness center with sauna and Jacuzzi, tanning bed, laundry, fun center with video redemption games, billiards, Cowboy Museum, gift shop, a seasonal heated outdoor pool, open June thru October and a six lane bowling center. The bowling center was a big hit with our kids. "How cool is that, to have bowling right at our hotel". We had fun bowling, but our kids were a little frustrated with the gutters. For those of you accustomed to bumper bowling with the kids, you won't find them here.
The hotel has 250 rooms each with color cable television, coffee service, hairdryer and one king or two queen beds. They also have 2 luxurious suites with Jacuzzi and separate living and sleeping areas and rooms for physically challenged guests that meet ADA requirements. There is a complimentary breakfast and kids 12 years and under stay for free. The Grand Canyon Squire Inn is located outside the Grand Canyon National Park near the South Entrance on Highway 64. We did not have any trouble with traffic when we were visiting in the spring, but we were told that traffic can be heavy in this area during the summer months.
