Wyonegonic is located on a fresh water lake in the foothills and pine woods of southwest Maine. Wyonegonic has been offering Family camp Sessions in August for the past 30 years. Families live in lakeside cabins and eat in the Cobb Lodge dining hall. Breakfast and dinner are served family style; lunch is buffet. A traditional Maine lobster cookout if offered once each session. Common buildings with electricity and fireplaces are available for socializing in the evenings.
Wyonegonic Family Camp offers the opportunity to play and regroup as family. It is a great way to try out the camp experience with young children or to relive your own camp days. The Lair of the Golden Bear, established in 1949, is the UC Berkeley Alumni Association's summer family camp providing lodging, meals and loads of fun activities (hiking, softball, tennis, music, pottery and lanyard making, to name just a few) for adults and kids to enjoy throughout each camping week. Over 9000 people camp at the Lair during the camping season. About 140 outstanding staff members (mostly current UC students) see that the camp runs efficiently and that the campers enjoy themselves. The Lair consists of 3 camps--Blue, Gold and Oski- and covers 100 acres in the beautiful Stanislaus National Forest near Pinecrest, CA. The three camps are very similar, but each has it's own Lair "flavor." Idyllwild Arts Family Camp
June 30 – July 6, 2007
Families who are looking for a vacation that combines the arts, the outdoors and a liberal dose of fun need look no further. Idyllwild Arts Family Camp is the answer. For seven days and six nights we will teach you, entertain you and laugh with you. Your days will be filled with the arts, hiking, swimming, yoga and so much more. In the evenings there will be concerts, dances, games, lectures, campfires and family time. The whole family is welcome at Family Camp. This famous family camp started in 1978 and has a tradition of performing arts learning for all ages. While parents are learning steel drums, dance or chorus, toddlers are in Kid City learning to be clowns and singing. Every session culminates in a show featuring all art forms studied including youth and adults in a multi-arts presentation. Faculty shows early in the session get you stoked! Sleep in platform tent cabins set under redwoods a few miles from Russian River. Activities include serious ping-pong, volleyball and swimming. |

Wolf Ridge Environmental Learning Center is a place where minds open to the joy and wonder of discovery. We seek to stimulate a love and understanding for nature by involving youth and adults in direct observation of and participation in the outdoors. Located on a ridge overlooking Lake Superior, Wolf Ridge occupies 2,000 acres. Bordered by the Baptism River, the campus features a meandering creek, two pristine lakes, two high peaks, 18 miles of trails, and a mixed forest of maple, birch and spruce. Pine marten, eagles, moose, black bear, whitetail deer, foxes, wolves, loons and other wildlife share the campus. The facilities include two dormitories, three classroom buildings, a dining hall, an office, a raptor aviary, a library, two rock-climbing walls, and two high ropes course. |

RAY BEAN CAMP- is located on the curve of the waterfront that lies in the shadow of Johnson’s Peak, one of Possum Kingdom Lake’s most famous landmarks. Each of the Ray Bean duplex-style cabins is equipped with central air and heat, hot and cold water, and a large bathroom facility with shower. Each unit has its own electric stove/oven, refrigerator and outside charcoal grill for cookouts.
