This nationally recognized event is not only the oldest craft fair in America, but also is one of the largest and most prestigious. Each year, this nine-day event attracts more than 35,000 visitors who come to admire, purchase, and learn about fine contemporary and traditional handcrafts made by state-juried members of the League of New Hampshire Craftsmen.
Set at the base of Mount Sunapee in the Dartmouth-Lake Sunapee Region of New Hampshire, the Fair showcases virtually every type of craft medium, including handcrafted furniture, jewelry, decorative glass, pottery, prints, metalwork, fiber arts, wood carvings, weaving, sculptures, leatherwork, and more. Fairgoers are able to meet and converse with over 200 state-juried craftspeople while viewing booth displays, craft-making demonstrations, and three museum-quality exhibitions. These exhibitions provide unique settings for fine furniture, decorative home accessories, outdoor garden sculptures, and one-of-a-kind wearable art. Workshops for children, teens, and adults are provided daily, along with musical performances by well-known New England musicians.
